Creativity Innovation & The Standards

I am very proud to have encouraged and collaborated with Teachers to get 44 middle school elective courses approved that support the California Common Core, Next Generation Standards, the district’s strategic vision and/or the school’s specific magnet focus.

Studies consistently show that teachers who are passionate about the subjects they teach foster deeper student engagement. When teachers are energized and intrinsically motivated, their enthusiasm becomes contagious, leading to improved student motivation, curiosity, and participation.

Further, educational research strongly supports the idea that powerful outcomes emerge when students’ needs are intentionally aligned with teachers’ strengths and passions, especially in how courses are designed and delivered.
