Honored to be asked to chat with Dr. Franklin, Professor and Coordinator of the K12 Leadership Concentration at the USC Rossier School of Education Doctoral Program, to discuss the power of belonging and building relationships.

As a Principal, we are the ones who get the accolades when things go well. However, I feel truly blessed to serve and support a stellar team of professionals who go “above and beyond” each day to serve our children and school community with their whole-hearts and they are the people who truly deserve the accolades for our school communities successes; I feel lucky to be able to serve and support their work.

Yet, we do nothing great on our own; I am fortunate to serve a central office leadership team who provides incredible support to their sites and Principals because they too believe our children and school communities also deserve the very best. When the people at the site and the central office are incredible, well —  incredible things happen and I am happy to just be apart!
